Also, there was no bear proof trash receptacle as referenced in the check out instructions, and no directions on where/how to discard our trash. The front screen door could not be secured. One of the bedrooms/hallways also had a very distinct pet urine smell, and we had to utilize air freshener. We purchased wasp killer and fixed, as best we could, the screen. The screen to the hot tub area was damaged and wasps were in the hot tub area. The coffee pot had not been emptied, and had coffee remnants and grounds in the pot/filter area. We cleaned said dishwasher, and the clothes washer as well.
We also had to remove a strange substance from inside of the dishwasher. Plates/cutlery had stuck on food and had to be scrubbed. We spent a considerable amount of time sweeping, removing dead bugs, and cleaning the kitchen. This was problematic as we had no cell phone signal at the cabin. "It was not communicated to us that the cabin was in a gated area, and we had to call to get the gate code. I will say that we were contacted by the cabin company to hear our concerns and offer for future stays.… Sharing this info so you know that as a repeat guest, if this was our first experience we would move onto another cabin company. One last side note is the photos of the cabin, location (view and closeness to other cabins) were very misleading.

When we pay the amount of money we paid, we expected the following to either be in working order OR available for our use: The coffee maker only brewed 1/2 a pot of coffee (we purchased a maker and then someone showed up the next day with a new one) the movie theater wasn't working until WE purchased new batteries for the remote (we reported this several times and no one knew how to fix from your company - this was one of the main reasons we selected this cabin) there was not 1 skillet in the kitchen - if that's the case do the guest a favor and let them know so they can be prepared we had to purchase a skillet to use there wasn't any hot pads or kitchen towels - again let a future guest know because we had to purchase both items there weren't enough bathroom towels or starting supply of toilet paper as mentioned in the rental contract we had light bulbs that weren't burnt out which we reported we were told by one staff member that you were out of light bulbs but that he would be back we were still waiting for them when we left. We had to go to a local store to purchase items that we thought would either be available or would be working. Then on top of being so late, he didn't fix some of the important items we reported.
That was WAY to late to report to a cabin for repairs. The maintenance man didn't come out until 11:30 that evening. We called Sunday morning reporting issues with the cabin.
